Kokkino village

Kokkino Village is known for its magnificent sea views over Souda Bay and mesmerizing sunsets. The village also provided the backdrop for scenes of Zorba the Greek, filmed in the late 60s. Today, the village has a reputation for the manufacture of traditional blown glass from recycled glass. There are many shops with hand-made blown glass pieces, including lamp shades and shot glass for Cretan drink, Raki.
